Battle's on! [Aug. 12th, 2007|07:38 pm]
[mood |ready]

It's time for the fight that may just determine the outcome of this war. Best of luck to all three groups; the rest of us will be covering you as best we can!

A Call to Arms [Aug. 10th, 2007|09:10 pm]
[mood |planning]

Princess Lymsleia, under her unacknowledged-by-us position of Queen, has issued a challenge to the Aurora Army, for brother and sister to meet in battle. This is most likely a result of the Godwins using their puppet as a desperate resort, and everyone here is treating it as such, even His Highness himself.

Dawn of the Prelude of the New Queen's Campaign [Aug. 4th, 2007|08:35 pm]
[mood |productive]

It's encouraging to be part of a group that doesn't allow an extended downtime to effect their performance; despite the lack of activity since the Doraat campaign, all members of the Aurora Army remain well-prepared, physically and mentally, to follow the Prince on his many excursions - good thing, too, for he seems to be making enough excursions for three entourages.

[Locked to Wendel, Zweig and Shigure] [May. 7th, 2007|08:12 pm]
[mood |working]

You may already know this, but the Lyon alternate who frequents the Nexus had her body swapped with that of her Prince's.

She has agreed to help us out when the time comes. I'm sure you know what I mean by that.

Now granted, having her switch places with our Prince at the last minute might be too risky, so I'm open for other ideas.

Thoughts?

Our War Game (Notice passed on to all Aurora Army unit leaders) [Apr. 11th, 2007|05:47 pm]

For those who weren't at the meeting this morning, the plan is as follows:

Ground Forces:
1. Approach Doraat until you notice a signal coming from the inside.
2. Move away from Doraat. If you can lure enemy troops to pursuit, all the better.

Steps 1 and 2 must be done while staying as far away from the Feitas as possible.

Naval Forces:
1. The ship led by Zerase, along with the Beavers, charge into the enemy naval forces, with everyone else being ready for back-up. No Godwin ship is to be left floating.

Ground Forces:
3. While the naval forces are occupied with each other, push the offensive.

The objective, as you all know, is to pass through the gate. Once inside, the Prince's entourage will engage the enemy leaders. Good luck!

Getting ready... [Apr. 4th, 2007|08:32 pm]
With the Prince back from his travels to Nirva and its sorrounding seaspace, we're finally finishing preparations for the next military campaign. Hopefully, we should be marching onward any day now.

The Prince, by the way, seemed to have forgotten his recruiting our army chef Retso. I suppose he was still recovering from his seasickness at the time.

Nirva Island, revisited [Mar. 2nd, 2007|05:35 pm]
Well, it seems that Roy will get a new oportunity to show his abilities, for Prince Meredith's entourage will be taking another voyage to Nirva.

In other news, the castle is getting livelier every day. There have been talks of opening a restaurant as well, but the task of convincing a decent chef to work here remains unsolved, as the closest option, Chef Retso, shows little interest in leaving Raftfleet for now.

[mood | contemplative]

The coronation and subsequent wedding of Lymsleia Falenas will take place this Sunday.

His Highness, having recently returned from his trip to Nirva Island with our new ally, Miss Bernadette Egan, has announced that he'll be taking the weekend off to recover from the travel. I'm assuming he will afterwards seek more recruits and familiarize himself with the castle's new layout before he agrees to advance the campaign.

Open notice to all Aurora Army members with Nexus access [Jan. 24th, 2007|11:09 pm]
Lord Wilde sent word that the Elmerark is arriving to Estrise. How fortunate that the Nexus problems a few of us were having got resolved just in time.

Nevertheless, I advise you all to be more careful when on the Nexus from now on: the battles will most likely get more intense after the coronation, and we can't afford to have anyone taking a leave of absence now.

Announcement [Dec. 29th, 2006|05:49 pm]

So the date for the wedding of Gizel Godwin and Princess Lymsleia Falenas has already been announced, to the surprise of pretty much no one. Invitations have been sent to all neighboring nations, from our difficult neighbors to the Scarlet Moon Empire. No doubt the Godwin faction are seeking some legitimacy in the world's eyes.

How time flies... [Dec. 16th, 2006|08:07 pm]
[mood | gloomy]

Hard to believe six months have already passed since Her Majesty and Commander Ferid left this world...

By the way, thank you for purchasing those runes, Miss Wendel. Your contributions are most appreciated.

Might as well make this official: Rainwall has fallen to the Godwin's forces. Apparently, Admiral Luger and General Novum led the bulk of the troops during the night of Nether Gate's attack on Beaver Lodge. Lord Barows surrendered once he realised the numeric disadvantage he was in, so at least that battle had minimal bloodshed.

On happier news, Fuwalafuwalu has agreed to join forces with the Aurora Army, and will be dividing his time between leading the Beaver forces and overseeing the reconstruction of the Lodge.

Aftermath [Nov. 26th, 2006|10:36 am]
All things considered, there weren't nearly as many casualties as there could have been. I suppose it's a good thing the enemy retreated shortly after the Prince's entourage faced off against their leader.

Attack on our proverbial backyard [Nov. 25th, 2006|11:04 am]
[mood | distressed]

His Highness is already assembling his entourage to go save as many Beavers as possible, but we'll be needing two more groups around the lodge's perimeter to ensure that the Godwin troops don't kill any of them as they flee. So if anyone reading this isn't already going with the Prince, let me know.

...I can't help getting the feeling that this is meant to be a diversion in the larger scheme of things.

Bloody gamblers... [Nov. 15th, 2006|11:21 am]
[Current Location |Raftfleet]

I recently ran into that woman who bested His Highness at Blind Man's Bluff way back when. Recognizing me, she challenged me to a friendly match.

After I won, seeing how she didn't have any money to pay our wager, she offered to "pay it nightly".

...the wager was only for 4000 potch. If you're going to whore yourself to pay your debts, at least have the dignity to not sell yourself so cheaply.

Back to the task at hand [Oct. 17th, 2006|04:10 pm]
[mood |accomplished]

It looks like His Highness is finally leaving for Sable to deal with his impostor. I only hope things haven't gotten too out of hand.

As for Miss Wendel's latest report, I have an idea about how to deal with Doraat in due time; Lady Merces found it most agreeable, saying we should have most of the details ironed out by the time the business in Sable is over. I must say, it's rather fortunate that Mister Taylor recently joined us.

I discussed Wendel's reports on Rainwall with Lady Merces and, while she is of the opinion that there's no harm on what the supporters of a waning faction think of the Prince, she does agree that it would be best to take this impostor down before he costs us Sable. Particularly because if Sable distances itself completely from the war, they'll be at the mercy of Armes, and afterwards we'd have to depend on Lordlake to protect the border.

The Prince appears to have left to Yashuna at the moment. Hopefully, once he's done finding new recruits to the cause, he'll continue onward to the task at hand, since Lady Lyon and Lady Sialeeds are still quite intent on exacting final retribution on this bandit Prince.

Also, we now have a Runemistress and an official newspaper, both of which have held the attention of a good deal of our troops.

Aftermath [Sep. 23rd, 2006|03:52 pm]
[Current Location |Shanshu Castle]
[mood | peaceful]

Lady Merces has a point, as always. I suppose I performed well for my first battle as a strategist, given the circumstances.

Incidentally, it appears that Lord Wilde has met a few inconveniences in Sable: reports have arrived about a "Bandit Prince" roaming the area, who actually fooled Lord Wilde at first sight. Of course, we all know that the Prince has been in Lelcar (and before that, fishing on Ceras Lake) at the time, but we nevertheless won't have a successful alliance with Sable so long as this imposter is out there lowering our leader's credibility.

Of course, His Highness seems currently more interested in seeking out more people for the army on our current sphere of influence. Perhaps this is why Lady Sialeeds has decided to accompany him for the moment.
